Lee's Flute Loop Lilac Dahlia Tuber – Matte Lilac Novelty
Lee's Flute Loop Lilac is a striking, highly sought-after novelty variety bred by farmer-florist Lee Hemmings Carlton of Goldenrod Gardens. This 4- to 5-inch matte lilac bloom opens with the classic, clean look of a formal decorative dahlia, then gradually curls into exquisite, sculptural "flutes" or tubes as the season progresses and temperatures cool — a fascinating textural transformation unlike any other variety.
Growing to roughly 5 feet tall, this variety features exceptionally dark, strong stems that beautifully contrast with the cool-toned purplish-pink blooms.
