Lee's Elmo Dahlia Tuber

Lee's Elmo was hybridized by Lee Hemmings Carlton of Goldenrod Gardens in North Carolina and introduced in 2023. This laciniated variety produces fluffy, shaggy, and heavily textured cherry-red blooms that resemble the fuzzy Sesame Street puppet its name playfully references. As the flower ages, subtle white tips develop on the petals, adding even more character to this fun, distinctive variety.

Highly productive and vigorous, the plant grows 4.5 to 5.5 feet tall on long, sturdy stems, making it a fantastic choice for cut-flower arrangements and cottage gardens.
